Case Studies

Prior Scientific

Prior Scientific manufacture positioning stages that can be used to place a sample under a microscope to be imaged or scanned
Working with NPL, Prior examined the 3 dimensional movement of the staging to enhance their understanding of its real terms position and developed an algorithm to help improve the accuracy at the micron scale.

LightOx

LightOx has a research tools business selling re-agents including imaging agents to their customers.
In A4I LightOx worked with the Central Laser Facility (CLF) at STFC to measure the performance of their research tools and identify new use cases. They were also able to take learnings from the work and apply that knowledge to their drug development business.

BiologIC

For process developers designing advanced biology products, BiologIC creates a bioprocessing platform that optimises yield, process robustness and scalability faster and more affordably than ever.
BiologIC worked with the specialist Organic Mass Spectrometry Team at NML to investigate the activity on the surfaces of their product. They needed to understand what was going on with the nature of their devices and how they interacted with the chemicals and compounds they planned to use with them.
